2nd Loner in 28 years! - 12.18.2014 |
Reviewer: James Howard (Madison, WI) |
I purchased a Loner 940 over 25 years ago, and although it still works great I wasn't able to obtain replacement tips any longer. Actually Customer Service at Edsyn was great and they did find some old inventory for me, but I needed smaller tips for the newer small pitch ICs. Getting 25 years of use from a piece of equipment is rare, so I figured a new soldering station from Edsyn was well worth the expense. I have to say this new model looks and feels as solid as my older model - and the performance is exactly the same. I use this at home for repairing antique radios, to building new circuits and occasionally soldering some miniature metal assemblies. I recommend Edsyn products to anyone looking for a top quality soldering iron - and it's made in the USA too! |
