    Reviewer: Perry Babin (Gonzales, LA)
I used these professionally for many years. I tried to find something that might be better but it was always a waste of time and money. Expect to have to clean this like any other desoldering pump. Depending on the amount of solder removed (some of my repairs had 100+ solder joints to clear, most being for TO-220 transistors) and I could generally get through the repair without cleaning. If it had to be cleaned, a 'simple' cleaning would get it back working well. A more thorough cleaning doesn't take more than a couple of minutes, essentially costs nothing and it again works like new. I'd suggest buying only from Edsyn. I've purchased from other online sellers and believe that I received counterfeit pumps. This was before I could buy directly.
