A Workhorse in the Industry - 7.12.2016

I have refurbished/sold over 300 of the EDSYN 951SX Stations and sold over 100 new 951SX Stations over the past 14 years. I have been telling my buyers that if they didn't think the station was better than any Weller they had ever used, I would buy it back from them for what they paid for it, no matter how long they had the station. No one has ever taken me up on that offer for all these years! The 951SX Soldering Station also has more tip combinations than any other station on the market. And best of all - Still made in the USA! EDSYN is a family-owned company that treats their customers and distributors like family.

Great for vintage electronics - 10.28.2015

I purchased the 951SX soldering station about a year ago to replace an obsolete Hakko station that was falling apart. I work mainly on vintage and vacuum-tube based electronics, so I needed a soldering station that could cope with some pretty heavy soldering tasks, as well as delicate ones. The 951 seemed to be a perfect choice with it's high maximum heater wattage, wide range of available tips, and easy, single-knob temperature control. After a year of use I can say I am very pleased. It is a powerhouse when you need it to be, the iron itself is well balanced and comfortable, and it seems to be a simple, rugged unit. The iron holder pod is an excellent design that keeps the bench much cleaner around the station. No signs of tip degradation yet after a year of daily use, so I am quite happy. Edsyn customer service has been quite excellent as well!

Everyone at our facility loves this station. It is rumored to be made in the USA, which is a big selling point for us. We have used most of the other brands and still prefer this one over all the others. The self contained sponge and iron holder is ideal for technicians who have to move around from project to project. Please urge Edsyn to keep this model available and Made in the USA!
